Autumn Has Arrived! — Stitching This

Seems like summer went way too fast, but doesn’t it always? In reality though I LOVE when autumn arrives even though I know I’m probably in the minority. There is just something about the cool crisp air, blue skies and a bulky sweater that makes my heart sing! Probably because the need to squeeze into a bathing suit is over for a while and those bulky sweaters cover EVERYTHING!!

The arrival of fall also means the holiday season is right around the corner. YEAH!! I can start looking forward to having my family together around the dinner table at Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s something I miss terribly being an empty nester. Just the conversation and laughter and mere presence of my boys is enough to warm my heart.

It also means the creative juices need to get flowing with new creations for gift giving. It really is amazing how many things just brighten up with a monogram. I need to put my mantra into full swing. “If it doesn’t move monogram it. If it does move, monogram it before it gets away.”
